As a small business of just two employees, they wanted to undertake necessary training without having to take vital funds out of the business. Through researching funding options on their local Council website, they discovered that, although not eligible for other funding streams, the Beyond 2010 programme could deliver what they needed.

Hunton & Overton progressed with four courses specifically tailored to solar thermal heating; the fastest growing areas in energy efficient heating on the market.
The training not only increased the skills set of Hunton & Overton, but allowed them to look into other areas of work that previously had been outside of their remit. Having taken the steps to train in the energy efficient market, they feel one step ahead of their competitors.
They are now looking ahead and developing their long-term business plan to expand their service offering and to grow their customer base.
The Beyond 2010 business support programme is delivered by Essex County Council and funded by the European Social Fund and East of England Development Agency. ERBI work with Essex County Council to deliver the Lifescience & Healthcare sector for Beyond 2010.
