Through the Beyond 2010 programme, they were able to secure a training budget to increase the field skills of new staff members, improving survey methods and increasing knowledge on conservation and development, which is essential to their consultancy work.
The programme is easy and personable. We could speak to the sector specialist direct with any queries and were able to use the funding for all of our training needs
As a result, the training has increased the confidence of the employees, with more of them writing licence applications and reports for clients. With staff taking part in the training the business is working more efficiently; which has given them more time to identify how they can take their business forward. They are now looking at other training courses to improve their chances of bidding for work.
The Beyond 2010 business support programme is delivered by Essex County Council and funded by the European Social Fund and East of England Development Agency. East of England Tourism work with Essex County Council to deliver the Tourism & Olympics 2012 sector for Beyond 2010.
